Uganda Air Cargo Corporation (UACC) recently welcomed a Delegation from the National Information Technology Authority-Uganda (NITA-U), led by Mr. Patrick Okoth, for a high-level engagement focused on enhancing ICT collaboration and accelerating UACC’s digital transformation journey.
The meeting, hosted at UACC headquarters in Entebbe, aimed to identify strategic areas of cooperation in technology adoption, automation and cybersecurity. Speaking on behalf of the General Manager, Mr. Fungo Wamai Dan David, Director Finance at UACC, thanked the NITA-U Team and emphasized the Corporation’s commitment to embracing technology in its operations.
“Technology is no longer optional—it’s central to how we do business. We’re excited to explore opportunities for collaboration with NITA-U to modernize our services and improve efficiency,” said Mr. Fungo.
Mr. Okoth reaffirmed NITA-U’s support in providing a range of ICT solutions tailored for Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA’s). These include secure communication tools, digital signature services, hosting solutions and enhanced internet connectivity—key components to help UACC streamline its operations and enhance service delivery.
The two Teams also discussed the growing importance of cybersecurity and the need for resilient systems to support aviation and cargo operations. This Partnership marks a significant step forward in UACC’s digital modernization efforts and aligns with Uganda’s broader Vision of a digitally empowered and secure Public Sector.
